fob

Probaly a silly question. Just got new Oct tdi as company car but to lock you have to use the key ( no remote fob) Can you get one for the basic model??

I doubt that your Octy didn't come with a remote key, because as far as I know they come standard even with the basic Ambiente model.

Maybe your company's fleet manager hasn't supplied you with the remote for some reason (i.e. they are expensive to replacce if you loose one).

Try asking whoever is in charge of the cars at your company, maybe they have the answer.

Enjoy your new octy... I'm waiting for mine (also a company car) - a 1.2 TSI Elegance :-)

When it was dropped off the guy said the only bad thing with the basic model was no remote locking which did suprise me, i just wondered if i went to skoda dealer they could supply.

Remote central locking is not a standard feature on the S model, for remote C/L you need to have at least the SE variant.

That's true. When I bought our S model Octy new in '09, I had to specify remote central locking as an optional extra in order to get remote locking.

Thats interesting. Here in the middle-east central locking is standard, as well as the remote.

So can it be added and at what cost??

According to the brouchure, it is £285 as a Factory Fit option with an alarm. Not sure what it would cost as a retrofit.
