Good evening all,

I used to own a VW Bora 1.8 TDI Highline - a magnificent vehicle. Four years ago I had to change, and looked at Passats and Jetta's - neither of which came up to the standard of the Bora. I have been driving a Honda Accord for the last 4 years - a worthy car but somewhat dull.

The Octavia VRS seems to tick all the boxes that the Bora did - some questions if I may -

The satnav runs from a DVD - nono. I will fit a Roadangel or similar and eschew the built in satnav - if I do that, what appears on the central screen consol?

Can you get black alloy wheels for the VRS hatchback?

Does the black leather seat option sport the VRS symbol? And is it completely black?

Is the VRS all it's cracked up to be?

Any comments appreciated.

Thanks - Chris Denning

Here you will find radio station info, track details (if CD supports it)or SD card info for music and a "graphic" if you have parking sensors when they are in use.

Not as standard, although I have seen a new vRS local to me in red with black wheels (not to my taste !)

I do not have leather but I believe so. Incidentally, the standard seats are fine unless you are a "full black leather man!! :o

Err, yes I believe so as I am on my 3rd but like every potential new car purchase a decent test drive should answer many of your questions.

Any comments appreciated.

Hope this is of some help to you ?

Incidentally, I also used to have a Bora (Sport 150) & as you say a fine car....

It will be a new car, so I assume a M2? I can't find a Skoda dealer who can supply a test drive car, but I'm tempted to order one anyway... I've seen one in a showroom, looks great, feels great, hope it drives OK
