How do I remove the grill under the number -plate.

Featured Replies

Want to know how the grill that sits under the number-plate area be removed.??

I can feel some sort of sets of retainers along the top edge at the rear of grill, with the the bonnet opened.

Do I need to remove the whole front bumper, it seems un-necessary at this point.??

Thanks members.

You can just push it out, it quite stiff and needs a bit of persuasion ;)

Will try that, thanks.emoticon-0148-yes.gif

There is no-way it will push out/ outwards, as bumper has lugs that stick inwards to stop grill being pulled outwards.emoticon-0149-no.gif

If anything pushing inwards and remove would certainly mean the bumper removal to clear the back-end.emoticon-0101-sadsmile.gifemoticon-0149-no.gif

Why do you want it off?

To spray it?

Theres like lugs on it, pretty sure you'll have to take bumper off!

Going to try and fit rectangle foglights in the grill aperture, just as a tiny project.

Got a new set acquired at a recent boot-sale, but don't want visible drilled surfaces, if I wanted to sell the car some time in the future.

Want to be able to replace grill to hide evidence of foglights ever being fitted.

These lug things, how by taking bumper off will it improve removal of this small grill from them ??

Thanks

They have to be released from behind, sometimes are melted in place.

I so wanted to just remove the bloody grill thingy, without getting too involved, this is getting too involved for me. (Not a happy bunny)emoticon-0106-crying.gif

I suppose to take it one step further I suppose this the same trick for the front black plastic number-plate attachment??
