Black VW Transporter stolen Cleckheaton W Yorkshire (UPDATE: Now found)

Hi

A Friend had his black VW Transporter LWB Sportline YD07 ZTV stolen from the Cleckheaton area last night. Quite distinct with twin pipes at either side and roof spoiler at the rear plus stainless "A" bar and side runners. Any spottings would be a big help.

The police found the van this eve parked up in Bradford down a side street. The scuffers must have been waiting to see if it had a tracker on it. The full contents were still intact!. Thank you to those who kept their eye out

Are the insurance co going to cover lock and key code changes? AFAIK they should do as they've just been saved from a payout, but could face one if the keys have been compromised.

I'm not sure what'll happen with the locks etc he's had to do the house and work locks already. I dread to think the cost of a new fob/locks and re-coding from VW.

As I say, take this up with them as technically the car will simply be returned to you with the insurer breathing a sigh of relief they arent paying out for the vehicle.

But they could well do, should they return for a second go with a copied/coded key. Remember it's easy to add more keys with VCDS if they get access to it
