Here's one for the wheel boffins....

Featured Replies

Random question, but it does have a purpose.

If I was to LPG the vRS with a donut tank in the boot, I'd lose the spare wheel. However, after witnessing people struggling with a can of foam and a rip in the tyre wall, I'd like to have some way of getting the kids home.

So my cunning plan is to source a space saver. Does anyone know of a wheel that'd fit the vRS? I've seen the odd 5 x 100 wheel on ebay, but some are from VW Polos, Mk3 VR6s and one from a BMW? Anyway, has anyone got a pearl of wisdom on this one?

p.s. Any recommendations on an LPG company in Yorkshire?

Needs to be a 16" minimum to fit over the brakes.

you can get a 14" over the rear wheels just means if you get a front punture your have to put a rear one on the front

Some Golf MKIV's and A3's had either 16" or 18" space savers not too easy to get hold of, keep checking fleabay or try a VAG breaker

That's worth knowing. Thanks.

Would the 18" have the same rolling radius?
