New Superb Brochure available for download

Featured Replies

As per title brochure valid from June 1 2011

Not had a great amount of time to peruse.

Noticed SE Plus included.

Rosso Brunello still included as a colour so that's wrong.

Also a typo on the Elegance specification says "Standard Equipment (over S)" when it should say (Over SE) I think.

As discussed often Luxons are FOC optional alloy.

Also it doesn't have the full spread pic of a Combi on Luxons that is in the Swedish brochure.

If I've missed some staggering change then apologies.

Yes, but it's shown as having limited availability, and then only until August (look at the asterisked notes at the bottom of the page.

So, no more RB. I think I'll have one of the last (and few!) Rosso Brunello Combis in the country......

Bit worried to see that Luna alloys are not shown anymore as I've specced on my Elegance/Combi due Sep!

For anyone worried about the Luxons and what they look like, there is a cracking double page shot of an Aqua Blue Combi in the Swedish brochure, well towards the rear of the brochure.

To me the Luxons look Superb. fnar fnar

Obviously most of you will struggle with the language, though our Scandinavian friends might realise from my login id that it's quite OK for me.

However the brochure nevertheless is worth a flick through, some interesting internal photos and soeaking frankly it shows up just how mediocre and boring the Skoda UK effort at marketing literature is.

Also when you look at the specifications, brings home just how well specified the UK version is, eg in Sweden on top model, both alcantara and leather are extra, as is satnav, and so on. Though heated rear seats are standard plus there are some options not available in UK, eg Webasto auxiliary heater which personally I would very much like to have the option of specifying on a UK vehicle.

Full Swedish price list if anyone is interested.

Just called my dealer and am awaiting a call back.

I dont want the Thermisto or Luxon wheels as they are multi spoke and I personally don't like them as they (in my opinion) are fussy and are a nightmare to keep clean when you travel big miles as I do.

The reason I went for the Lunas is that theyre simple 6 spoke easy to maintain wheels.

We'll see what they come back with.

Correct, missed that, and now I've looked at a printed out version an asterisk is also shown against Mocca

i.e. available until August 8th 2011.

Oh no!!!!!!!!!!

OMG you get the cars at a low price in UK.

Its about 40 % of the price in Denmark, because of Danish registration taxes.

My Superb Combi (well equiped) was just 60.000 £ on Danish Plates.

I tought that here in Finland cars are expensive!

I saw this too! Mocca is my favourite Combi colur. If I choose a Mocca Superb, I'd better get my order in quickly.

Too many complaints from owners suffering buckled Lunas.

Phil

Is it just me or do most dealers seem to take ages to give you a quote at the moment.

I've contacted FIVE dealers and only one has given me a quote near enough immediately (and that was Allums which I found on here  )

Also, is the sunset glass now FOC on the Elegance, there seems to be some confusion on this.

I know what I want, I know it's going to take 22 weeks to get it :wonder: any dealers interested in actually selling me a car???

Problem is I ( personally) hate multi spoke wheels!

Dyou think dealers will be offering alternatives as I'm sure there will be more buyers complaining at the removal of the Luna. If there was just the Thermistor and the Luxon I doubt I'd have ordered the car.

They've already changed the colour on me after discontinuing my first choice.

Grrr.

Only on the SE plus, it's a cost option on everything else

Seriously think hard about who you put the order in with, mine came from of the recognised cheapest dealers (via a broker) HOWEVER despite the car being collected in the middle of December I have only just today received the final missing items on the car - shocking service!!

So the moral is 'buyer beware'

+1, there will no doubt be another option eventually as the Luxon is far to similar to the Thermitso for it to be a real option.

However don't expect anything soon.

Spoke to another dealer this morning and he told me the sunset glass is standard on the elegance, I think I'll keep it as a costed option for the time being or I won't get it!

I've tried quite a few dealers over the last few days and none of them can beat the broker price (or get anywhere near it). Who was the dealer?

It's a company purchase so if it's wrong I'll let them dela with it. I had the same problem on my last car and eventually we got £1500 off of them for "goodwill". :giggle:

Spoke to another dealer this morning and he told me the sunset glass is standard on the elegance,

This is bad news for me if correct as I really dislike vehicles where the glass behind the B pillar is tinted. Accept that the Skoda version is far more discreet than that from some other manufacturers or tint firms where the rear glass looks as black as a December night in the forest, but even so.

For example when considering the Passat, would have downgraded from Sport to SE and then specced back up with some options just to get rid of the tints.

Likewise the Superb SE Plus in some ways fits me better than the Elegance, but the fitting of the sunset glass discounted that from even being an option. Suppose we all have our own likes / dislikes and have to compromise.

Just get irritated by model year changes trying to figure out what and when, plus we always get whinges from fleet company car drivers when they get their cars delivered with different specs. Had one the other day, a Ford ordered which had specified as standard a Sony audio and navigation system, but when delivered everything was manufacturer own brand, driver most disgruntled.
