As some may know, I love my octavia and she has never gone wanting.

I've had a lot of probs recently and this one takes the p**s. On way home last night I set cruise at 65 goin up a hill on M4 and the clutch started slipping.

It does it around 2800 rpm up when accel steady and also when going for it.

I am lost for words!

Billy

Billy mate I feel for you, nothing worse than having a unlucky patch and getting over it to then go through it again.

You and me both buddy. I just fitted Cruise, the whole TT set up to the front and now the car is over heating. makes you want to cry buddy. :'(

Mate that's crap, is it just the temp sensor?

I was just gettin to love the car again wi the TT setup. I shouldn't of taken the std clutch off. My std one was really beefy, not bad to say it had done 91k lol.

Can I use the clutch and preasure plate fron my kit and the g60 SMFW?

didn't you change the clutch when you put the LSD in?

Yup, the clutch was worn a slight bit more than mine, but I put that down to Amateurstuntman and Westallc driving styles. Must be that sache clutches are actually ****e?

I am gonna leave it and let it develop then prob just put my original clutch back on. Might even go the whole hog and put the original gearbox back on too seen as there was nothing wrong with it.

I just don't know, its once again p*****g me off lol.

This thread makes me sad......

As much as I love my car, it too really pi$$es me off from time to time.

I cant understand why the clutch would go so quickly.... I have a heavy duty Sachs clutch setup (lightened SMF, uprated pressure plate etc.) on mine and that has been perfect for over two years..... Yours must have been a bad one...I hate to say it.

Hope you get it sorted soon mate, all the best.

Steve :)

Update on this,

Since I had this slip, I had it the day after too but since then its all been perfect.

Ive had no probs with the clutch since, I dont think that me using 95 petrol helped neither(Was all the garage had and I needed fuel) It made it very very lumpy and flat and really **** to drive. lots of hesitation and I think that contributed some how.

hard to explain but all fine now and back on Tesco 99 lol
