Air Con fault

Featured Replies

The air con has never worked on my Superb but until the recent hot weather it hadn't been an issue. Mechanic reckons it just needs a top up but before I spend £50 on a re-gas I ran the car through VAG-COM and got the following fault:

Address 08: Auto HVAC

Controller: 3U0 907 044 A

Component: CLIMATRONIC S B5 C 2004

Coding: 17000

Shop #: WSC 00028

2 Faults Found:

00792 - A/C Pressure Switch (F129)

35-00 - -

01341 - Control Module in Instrument Panel On Comfort CAN (J285)

27-10 - Implausible Signal - Intermittent

It looks to me like a possible electrical fault - can anyone offer any explanation?

I had the water ingress issue a few months back and had to repair all the wires in the comfort module - could this fault be linked to that?

I don't think it has anything to do with your water ingress problem.

But clear the errors and see which one(s) that come back. The F129 or the wiring at the sensor is often faulty. But it could also be low level of refrigerant in the system.

Check the F129 pressure switch. If ok, you need to refill the system and check for leakage.
