Leaky tyre

Featured Replies

Anyone had any problems with tyres? I have had a steady slow leak in one tyre since I have had the car. Had it checked twice by Skoda, once they found a small nail, the other time they just reseated it and put a new valve on. Now suddenly it has got much worse. Back to Skoda again tomorrow. I've heard stories about leaky alloy wheels so wonder if that could be it - we'll see!

Get them to cover the tyre & wheel unit in leakfinder and leave it for ten minutes this will show the problem it froths around the air loss area (this is what the tyre trade uses) it's made by appaseal , tiptop , tech etc all suppliers into the trade.

Leaking wheels is a possibility but on such a new car without any corrosion build up or not having a good quality tyre installed (which you should have from new) this is not really a issue unless the bead on the tyre was damaged (torn) when fitted.
