Air restriction

Featured Replies

Anyone had any problems with there feed from the air box when on a dyno?

Just got back from having the boost turned up on my car and the guys dynoing the car noticed the flexi pipe sucking itself together. Then one of the guys kind of held it to stop it squeezing and it gave alot better results.

They reckon that the pipe is now reducing the flow at certain points whn u floor it.

Cant say i have seen anyone else mention nothing about this.

The guys down there reckon that if i replace the flexi pipe with a solid pipe the car will flow alot better and give even better results.

They're absolutely right. It's plausible that the pipe's been compressing itself for a while, but you've only just discovered the fact.

Maybe it's just your car happens to have a soft pipe, or maybe you've got good dyno operators.
