My heater's a bit exciting

Basically, my heater does that thing where the ac doesnt work unless fans on 3 or above so that means i need a new fan resister, and it only blows hot or cold - which means a new flap motor.

Whats the proceedure for resetting/re-alinging the motor using VAG-Com? Do you have to have a full registered version or can it be done on hte pikey free version that i have?
