my octavia 1.9tdi reg 05 has been playing up. Had to get assistance from the rac after my car kept stalling when i tried to pull away from traffic lights. The glow plug light was flashing and after being put on the diagnostics .....code p0251 came up. that means there is a fuel metering malfunction is present. He cleared the code and i was able to drive the car the 4 miles or so to the garage, they put it on their diagnostics and nothing showed up so it must be fine..............two and a half hours later the car started chugging and stalled, the glow plug light is flashing again the engine management light is also on. ...............anyone any ideas, i don't know the first thing about the mechanics of a car.

the problem has been diagnosed as contaminated fuel pump
