1.2TSI DSG stalling

Featured Replies

Hello All

My wife's Fabia, bought new in Jan this year has a habit of stalling without warning. It appears to happen after it has warmed up and when manoeuvring, such as in a car park with full lock.

I have reported this to the dealers where we bought the car and they say they are aware of similar problems but have not yet received details of how to overcome.

The idling appears to be too low, (at around 650 rpm) but it seems it is not a simple turn of a screw to speed this up. It is also noticeable that when accelerating slowly, as in traffic, the revs drop to under 1200 rpm on up changes. This results in the car not responding to further depressing of the accelerator when traffic clears.

Any ideas please.

They probably need to flash the ECU and change the idle or somthing similar.

I am sure they are working on a flash/patch update.
