Reversing sensors

Featured Replies

Having real dramas with reversing sensors one minute they work the next they dont have checked the conections and are all looking good have also made sure that they are clean and free of dirt any ideas please

have you had the car scanned to see if it indicates where the problem is?

are the reverse lights coming on when sensors dont work?

From my own experience I would say a sensor is duff. I had 4 of these in the space of 18 months - fortunately covered under extended warranty.

Mine don't work when it rains. When it is dry they are fine. Check for water ingress.

sometimes mine are a little temperamental when wet - I put it down to water passing over the face of the sensor disrupting the sound waves, cos it's fine when there's no water on them. Having said that, this is a costly item that is prone to failure after any period of time - and costs of £100+ per sensor :(

I had a similar problem when mine stopped working but for some reason it never gave a fault code.
