Injectors and head-gasket question (vrs)

Featured Replies

Anyone have any idea about what type off head-gasket it is on the 1.4 TSI vRS? Steel-gasket? Cork-gasket? Something else?

Also, anyone have any numbers on the injectors? What are their flow-figures? Don't wanna push them to hard later on.

Would really appreciate if someone could help me out with this =)!

It's a liquid gasket according to the VW training PDF I have here. The injectors operate between 50 to 150 bar with a relief valve on the fuel distributor that lifts at 172.5 bar. Sorry I don't have any specific flow rate details.

Can't answer your question but just want to ask you why you would possibly want this info? What use can it be unless for tuning? Can say the head gasket won't be cork.

Mkay, since you are waiting for a comeback about the 2.0TSI-injectors I suspect that you have heard that the 1.4TSI-injectors can't take very much more then we are already demanding from them?

Or is it just for being on the safe side :)?

Mine is stage 2 mapped and I want to know the limit since I'm gonna go past stage 2 in the end off this season as it looks now!

Gotcha, that makes sense now...;)

Don't have any dyno-figures yet, but they claim around 220 hp and 350 nm+.

Will be interesting to see what it makes on the dyno...

Is it a Mk2 Fabia vRS that you have with around 260 BHP,

and if so what is done to it already giving you Stage 2 + / Stage 3 ?

I have an upgraded air filter

Airtec intercooler

R8 coil packs. Iridium plugs

Decat. Full custom exhaust

Hybrid turbo

I'd call it stage 2+ now as theres much more powerful options available.

Would be interesting to see what injectors fit as the rtmg ones do look just like 2.0tsi injectors.
