I've had my new Octy vRS for a while now.

The Xenon lights are excellent, lovely and bright and do the job nicely.

The full-beam isn't so great.

I've just noticed that the bulbs installed in my car by Skoda are actually blue.

Surprised me a little bit, but I'm assuming they have done this in an attempt to make them look as "Xenon like" as possible - giving that slight blue tinge.

So, to the questions:

Are there any good road legal full-beam bulbs out there that offer excellent light but also offer a "close to HID" look?

If not, taking the "close to HID look" feature away - which are the best road legal bulbs out there?

Which fitment type is it on the full-beam bulbs on the FL Octy with factory Xenon's?

Finally, on my olf Mk2 Octy to change the bulbs you removed the whole light unit - it was actually a nice and easy way of doing things.

Do you do it the same way with factory fitted Xenon lights, or is there more to it / more awkward to do?

Osram nightbreaker bulbs are good but the biggest single improvement is likely to come from aligning the beams properly. Mine came from the factory set to illuminate treetops and low flying aircraft. I think all halogen bulbs look puny next to the xenon though and tbh I hardly ever need full beam anyway.
