Hi Guys,Car not long back from garage(couple of weeks) exhaust temp sensor needed replacing ! now noticed when stopped handbrake on car does not rev beyond 2500 rpm once driving revs through full range is this normal fuel economy was better when fault was there!

Normal not to rev over 2500 when handbrake is on, in regards the temp fault and better fuel ?

Yes if you are stationary the car wont rev above 2.5k. Same happens in my Golf. However if you happen to have ESP and switch it off it will then rev right through. That's what mine does anyway.
