I am looking at getting a vag com cable for octavia so i can change some of the settings but have no idea which one to get and where to get it from. I have looked at some of the ones on ebay for about £10 but not sure if they will work

my car is a skoda octavia 2006 2.0 TDI elegance

They probably won't work.

The official licensed version is usually circa £260 for genuine VCDS cable and supported/updateable software from Ross-Tech. Mine came from www.ilexa.co.uk

so not cheap then looks like i will have to start saving or find one on ebay
