Interesting read, VW feature on there as does the Skoda Octavia for 3 seperate models.

Anyone else notice that of the 19 cars listed 13 are from the VAG stable - pretty shocking really !

If you read the VAG annual reports then you will see it is a deliberate policy to reduce car production in Western Europe in favour of emerging markets in India and China. The report says the company is predicting fewer orders from Western Europe due to the end of scrappage schemes and other incentives and is using resources to set up production plants in the East. The production figures from 2009 to 2010 see a reduction in output which backs up the strategy.
