Recommend an alloy with et of less than 36...

Featured Replies

First of all the title should have been less than 36 not more than, doh!

I think im right in saying the standard oem alloys are ET36?

Now for those who want to fill the arches a bit but dont want to go down the route of adapters or spacers i thought it would be good to share knowledge here of alloys for the vrs with less et.

I bought some seat cupra alloys , there are 7" rather than 6.5" but the et is 42 so they dont stick out any further toward the arch, maybe a little further on the inside of the wheel.

So im thinking of getting say another 7" or 7.5" wheel a smaller et.

If you know the et of your wheel and they are standard 5x100 pcd100 then please post here your et and how much they fill outward toward the arch by compared to standard oem vrs wheels.

Cheers

You mean less ET not more.

The higher the ET the more it will go towards the inner arch, less ET will make it stick out more.

corrected, cheers :giggle:

I've got Evolo's 7.5j ET37

If my calculation is correct, They sit about 12mm further out on the face, and 14mm deeper in the arch!

TT Comps? TT 6 Spokes? Both ET32 and 7.5'' wide.

Octavia vRS Spiders are ET38 and 7'' wide.

Various BBS wheels are available with ET's around 32/35.

RS4 replicas 7.5" wide with ET35 and sit perfect IMO

I've got TT comps on mine and they look just right, not sticking out of the archs, just flush with the inside lip!
