change the engine or change the oil pump and hope for the best ihave a skoda superb 2.0 diesel :(

All 2.0 PD engines fitted to these cars are suspect. VAG used "Skoda" as a dumping ground for a pile of useless engines which have given trouble in their other clones and which they knew all about. (Nice people).

You will have to carefully examine the engine to see what the damage is. If the engine has been run for any time at all, the damaged items will be - in order of being wrecked - turbocharger, main bearings, big end bearings, non-roller followers and cams, bores.

Don't fit a new oil pump to a damaged engine and anything other than minor damage renders the engine not worth repairing - the parts cost is high.

rotodiesel.

I cant add anything about the problems but skodanut has posted on a reply to my engine workshop problem that he has an oil pump due to buying a new engine and didnt get to fit the pump. Might be worth dropping him a message to see what he wants for it if you need the pump
