2010 octavia diesel dsg auto

Featured Replies

Hi , my father has a 2010 octavia tdi dsg auto ,16k which had its first service this tuesday 14/6 . He was driving along yesterday , and while stopped at a junction the car just revved down and cut out , no warning light or splutter. It has since gone back to dealer who says today water in fuel tank !! Can this be the case or should other symptoms have presented before this. PS same fuel in tank before and after service.

I had the same probs and it turned out to be the clutch pack on the DSG, mines a petrol.

If there is water in the tank and they show you a sample or the report on the contents? You would need a new fuel pump and filter as the derv lubricats the pump. However this diag was often used by Ford dealers everytime there was a pump or running issues!

Sorry for the delay , dad got the carback on tuesday from dealer who still vaguely blame water in the diesel , they changed the fuel filter. and guess what no charge after 4 days . my gut feeling is that something else went wrong , but was repaired . As it had been serviced by them a week ago. ps thanks for you posts
