£100 wheels any performance benefits

Featured Replies

hey guys,

im after some advice, now im at the stage 2/3 of tuning with 240bhp theres not much more i can do to the vrs so ive started to give it a diet all roung and with the little bits n pieces ive saved roughly 30kgs.

now im looking into a new set of pro race 1.2's which will be costly but hopefully save me about 7-8kgs per corner/wheel over my avus alloys

i dont do any track days with it so i didnt go for the lsd so i thought of a wheel change but dont know if its worth doing for the performance/handling etc

whats your views please?

cheers

simon

For £100 id snap them up... If your running Brembos make sure they will clear them tho. Mine were definatley lighter

Got water/meth injection?

Brakes?

would definatley go for them pal :)

Worth every penny :)

£1150 for the quaife fitted at jabbasport + 450 mile trip

£810 for alloys with yoko's on

If you were closer you could've taken mine for a spin to see what you thought of the Quaife :)

I'm sure Unit 18 will do it for quite a bit less.

Diff is wicked, well worth the dolla, hopefully i`ll be able to upgrade to one at some point. :smirk:

and he'd almost have to drive past MK to get to Jabba... ;)

so will the diff be a good upgrade mainly for pottering around town, sometimes on the nice welsh back roads would suit it?

or the alloys for better cornering/grip,but will there be any performance gains with lighter wheels??

Thats the type of driving i do, mainly town, with the occasional blast on A/B roads, and the diff is suited perfectly :)

Cant comment on wheels, as i run OEM 16's, nice and stealthy.
