Just a quick one, I have my std vRS clutch and flywheel that looks to have lots and lots of life left in it.

First off for a bit of fun lets see who can guess the miles its done? No prize tho sorry.

I was rather suprised when I looked at it. I never had any trouble with it but while the gearbox was getting changed I thought I would take the SMF and Sache clutch too.

I just wondered if its worth anything?

It all depends how you drive and what sort of driving you do,

In a way it is worth something because someone could buy it from you at a fraction of the cost of the new items!

But having said that there is not way of knowning how a secondhand clucth and DMF will perform in another car and i certainly wouldnt fir a secondhand DMF if i needed one or if i had the gearbox off and thought id cahnge it while ive got it off!

So really its not worth anything!

You wouldnt buy half used brake pads from ebay and fit them?

Because they wear your fit new, especailly something thats so crital and known for problems like a clutch and a DMF

so really its only worth what someone will pay for it and thats not going to be much if at all lol

the clutch not really worth anything, but someone may go for the DMF as they are not cheap just bundle the clutch with it so you can get shot of it. I have to do the same with my 4x4 DMF (binned the clutch) since I am now running the S3 box which came with a really good condition clutch so I opted to give it a punt rather than shell out more than I was already to get the gearbox done

Bin the old clutch kit Billy, but hang onto the flywheel, as you can do a service exchange with them if you ever need a flywheel.

Must be frustrating for you I know, but you should have just popped a new VR6 clutch kit onto that G60 fly when you had the box off! GSF sell the VR6 clutch kits for £95 now (I paid £70 last year).

A used clutch kit will be worth nothing, because nobody would want to fit a used one for the hassle of changing it.

Skoda gave me £30 for my old DMF when I bought a G60 flywheel off them. Better than letting it rust in a corner of the garage....

I was thinking of binning it ne way as I wouldnt think anyone would buy it but someone might.

I will keep the Flywheel and that together for when I do buy a new kit from TPS specially if its an exchange item.

Oh and its done 92k which I thought was a lot for a clutch to say its been mapped (of some sort since 30k)
