Fabia MkII Vrs on 16" wheels

Featured Replies

The Ride quality in the new Fabia MkII Vrs is a little hard, rather skittish at speed, could be the Sh!te Dunlops fitted as Standard on the Wife's

Has anyone tried it on 205/45/16 tyres to see if it would Improve the ride quality.

could you not put a bigger tyre on the 17s

could you not put a bigger tyre on the 17s

rolling radius would be wrong and hence speedo

Your speedo will show 70mph on 17"wheels, on 16" wheels it would be showing 69.43 mph

215/40/17's would be a slightly higher ratio.. but 1.6% difference RR (they reccomend no less that 2.5%) so you could try that size?

I've got 185/60/16 's

but not had chance to try out them out with M+S tyres on them

The old Fabia vRS alloys with 205/45/16's would be fine as many changed to vRS Spiders and 205/40/17's with no issues.

I recon that going for the 205/45/16 (Skoda standard size) would be the best option (if you can get a wheel to clear the brakes) as you are gaining another 12.5mm of rubber sidewall height to absorb the shock. 45% and 50% are the best profiles to get comfort etc......40% and less affects the ride quality...but looks really good and the marketing people love it!!! 4uckwits!!!
