About to order .....

Featured Replies

Having been thinking about ordering a Yeti for a while, then changed my mind, changed it back etc etc I have now decided the Yeti is the way forward!

So I am going to order (probably tomorrow):

Yeti 170 Elegance

Candy white (same as my current vRS!)

Mudflaps

Heated screen

TPM

Spare wheel

Annapurna alloys

Sunroof

Skoda fixed towbar with 13 pin electrics (full functionality!)

Roll on March!!

Nice choice, and at least your expectations are reasonable......

Cheers! I thought a four month wait for my current vRS was long .....!

Yes a very nice spec and good colour choice :)

Regards,

TP

Welcome to the fold. Good choice in car and spec. I'd just add front parking sensors to that spec... invaluable they are! And as to towbar at order you can only add the Factory towbar preparation at the factory which includes the bumper hatch and a bigger fan. The towbar itself will be a dealer fit option after the car arrives.

Nice spec, I recently added the 3 spoke steering wheel as it looks very similar to the VW Golf Match type which is in my other halfs car, its a nice wheel and is very comfortable. I deleted the heated windscreen as I have had not so good experiences with them albeit a different manufacturer whilst I was undecided with the TPM, eventually a no, have one on my current car and in 5 years its been on once, incorrectly. Spare wheel is sensible. I also went with the Rough Road package and silver rails.

Great specs for both Iain and Servicepoint.......welcome to the dreamers club!!! :)

Looks good.

Personally I'd add the electric driver seat as it gives more adjustemnt options and the memory function is handy if you're not the only driver.

 +1

Agree with Johann and CT17 although I hav`nt got mine yet) with that option you can get electric folding mirrors + £60.

Just been thinking about mine ordered week 10 possibly build week 36 = 26 weeks plus at least a month for delivery = around 7/8 months. So next March could be correct but you never know. Good luck.

Still not received a build week for the car, more to the point not received factory confirmation! Am I too early to expect such things as I ordered 19th May?

Thanks.

Am I understanding this correctly, you place order, approx 3 months later you receive a build week which is approx 3 months later. In all a 6 months approx delivery.

Did you receive any confirmation of your order from the factory through the dealer?

Thanks.

No confirmaation from factory/dealer and probably will be at least 7 months including shipping time :wonder:

I didn't want towbar prep as it does not offer the essential connections for caravan fridge operation and battery charging which is absolutely nuts. I had planned to go for the newly available Skoda fixed bracket(not keen on removables!) as accessory but when we looked at the cost the local specialist who has fitted the towbars to my three vRS's is cheaper and I can be assured of getting full connectivity and a good quality towbar.

I have had TPM on my three vRS's. I have found no particular use for until I had three punctures on my current car it was worth its weight in gold for detecting the punctures long before I would have spotted it. So worth the small extra cost in my book.

Pretty much just me driving it so not worth it, myself and the boss have the seat in the same spot anyway ... it's just the backrest she messes with!

I have ordered mine this afternoon on the way home from school.

I want it for the 1st of March.

The dealer does not expect it to be before then anyway. If it is they will hold it it till then, but he thinks this is highly unlikely.

My dealer has said I won't hear anything for about six weeks, at that point he will receive a build date. My current vRS was the same albeit a shorter time frame.

I suppose, fair point. I will give it some thought.

I had actually decided from the start with the Yeti that I would be more cautious with the options after throwing nearly the whole option list at previous cars, much to my expense. As time goes on options are getting added, I should maybe avoid this forum until the factory confirm a build date and I can no longer add to the list!!

I ordered a Greenline Yeti for my Mum on the 21st March and have yet to get a build date...

Blimey, you must be the youngest yet, hope you will be 17 by the time it arrives!

We ordered our Greenline on 26th March and have still heard nothing.

Well, not completely true, as our dealer did ring us once about a month ago just to say that he had no news

Maybe one day we will get to hold our new Monster

:giggle: Indeed, thinking about it I'm not yet 41, but by the time it arrives I'll be getting close to 42!

To be fair if I hadn't had the punctures on the current car I wouldn't have bothered ... in the past on previous vRS's its been a nuisance, going off occasiionally when towing the caravan despite there being no drop in pressure. Most disconcerting, though strangely it happened twice at the same spot on the Edinburgh by-pass with two different cars!
