Sadly Skoda don't offer an auto dipping interior mirror on the Fabia - even as an add-on extra. I have one on my current Octy L&K and love it, however, I don't need a car as big as the Octy so am thinking of changing to the Fabia Estate 1.2 TSi with DSG gearbox in Elegance trim. I have found that Gentex can supply an auto dimming rear view mirror (Genk2 model); has anyone fitted one of these? Does anyone know if there is a live 12V feed to the interior roof light cluster that is controlled by the ignition - has to be ignition controlled otherwise dipping mirror would drain battery.

Just get your Windows tinted! I have a 35% tint (light smoke) and the mirror does hardly anything now!

I agree. Had my superb windows tinted and the mirror never dipped. Looks smart as well. 
