I've owned an Octavia Laurent & clement tdi for 4 years (07 plate). It's a great car.

The reason I've joined the forum is that we're suffering a few niggles with it. I've read on the forums about replacing the battery in the remote fob; however I just want to be sure if I replace the battery (what type is it?) myself it won't unsynch from the car.

That'll do for starters - there are more niggles where that came from. Ideally I want to avoid an expensive trip to the dealers.
