Whiteline ARB

Featured Replies

Which setting is the soft setting on the ARB?

Mine is on the furtheset one back at the moment, has been since i bought the car, does feel rather twitchy in the corners at times.

Is the furthest on back the softest setting?

Goes from hardest nearest the bar to softest which is furthest away from the bar

So mines on hardest then as it is furthest away from the bar.

Strange then how its still twitchy in the corners :wonder:

No mate, read it again! The bolt nearest the 90 degree bend in the metal is the hardest!

My bad lol been a long day

I didn't try out the lower settings at all, just went straight to max.

I can honestly say it transformed the way the car drove.

So much so that its made me find the money to upgrade the shocks

and springs to further the effect.

Can't wait to feel the difference when the suspensions done as well.

My current shocks and springs are 80k old and feel like it too :D

I'll try and find a pic of the setting.

Im on eibach springs and dampers at the moment, will change to the stiffest setting the weekend hopefully it will make a noticeable difference. Also fitted some vredestein ultrac sessanta tyres yesterday so they should help with cornering.

Here you go, that's the stiffest setting

Great stuff will get mine changed asap

First time I have seen a whiteline one. Mine is a jabba one, looks a bit flimsy that one to be honest, jabba one is thicker and bolts straight to the lower shock bolt. Surly that extra arm that hangs down would be a weak point?

Maybe someone can post a pic of a jabba one? I can't at the mo, at work on my smart phone. shhh! Lol

The drop links aren't a weak point, well they are... but only in that they contain bushes that will wear over time. These are polyu bushes too, so will last longer than the OEM fronts.

Jabba bar for he who wanted the piccies. ^^^

Simpler design by far. Costs more compared to the Whiteline but pennies compared to the overall cost of modding the car. Rumour has it serious trackday enthusiasts wouldn't have any other bar.

Want any more info you'll have to search out the threads on here. My opinion's always been the same. "Fit a RARB, don't prevaricate, you'll enjoy the car more with one fitted".

Just be aware of the possibilities now you've done it. FWD cars feel better and better per handling mod right up to the moment you crash, usually in a "lift off mid-bend" moment or a "**** hit brakes mid-bend" moment. This goes double in the wet and treble if you end up running better "wet" tyres on the front compared to the rear....

I've had plenty of lift off oversteer in my Fabia, some of even in snow, and it's so controllable you wouldn't believe it.

Whiteline are a suspension company.....they design and create suspension components for hundreds of cars. This is there forte!

Jabba are a tuning company.

Just because something is thicker, doestn mean it better...ever heard of the term "over engineered?".
