Multifunction Steering Wheel and Bluetooth

Featured Replies

I've just accepted my new vRS estate and am very happy with it but want to query a couple of options.

I specified and paid for multifunction steering wheel and bluetooth. I thought the steering wheels of this type had controls on both sides and the normal only on the one? Ours has just controls on the left side is this the incorrect wheel? Can anyone post/link a picture of the 3 spoke multifunction wheel to confirm?

Also can anyone give a 5 minutes idiot guide to checking if we have bluetooth fitted? The wife is the technology fiddler and she's in hospital at the moment.

Ah just found this reply to my top questions which if correct answers my first question.

There is no double set of buttons wheel for the Fabia. I'm always surprised by the popularity of bluetooth prep, which i think is a very expensive option (free on all Fiats).

In my many years of driving i've never thought "I wish i could have an incessantly ringing telephone" lol. I get that all day in the office, driving to and from it is a safe haven from such annoyances.

However the skoda config web tool is very confusing if this right.. it shows controls on both sides, all be it, on the 4 spoke wheel.

The 'idiots guide to checking bluetooth' would still be appreciated if anyone knows of a 5 min check on that?

If you ordered it you should have it. Condusing bit is the wheel for radio and phone is no different (buttons only on left spoke) a module is installed as part of the bluetooth kit that allows you to use the wheel to answer and hang up calls and use the voice control, otherwise the whole thing has to be controlled by the trip computer stalk

BTW there is some stuff in the handbook on it, also there is a using bluetooth guide on the global skoda website
