I am in the middle of a fairly complex project on a 2008 octavia VRS Petrol Estate. the car had minor freshwater damage, and though it runs i am required to replace the wiring loom. This isn't a major problem in itself as the car is stripped out.. Where i am am stuck is I ideally would like to find a used Loom ex breakers yard, but i can't find anyone parting out a 07-08 vrs....

Anybody know where I might be able to track one... I'll chase up any leads you can throw me as a New loom is 3K ex factory (10-12weeks) so if i can pick one up from a breakers it'll be much kinder on the wallet.... every other loom i have had priced so far has been <250gbp, but looms are slightly different ie 4 airbags vs 8 is the main one

Its going to be a hard one as most breakers will chop through the loom when breaking the car.

You might want to look at getting the old loom repaired

I would also look out for another wreck, if you get a cat C or worse you may be able to get the loom out of that & sell a few other bits to help cover costs
