Newbee with Skoda Fabia

Featured Replies

Having probs - especially when car hot or on long journeys with revs going very low and then high on 07 Fabia - was particularly bad yesterday in heat and air con made it stall. Garage cannot diagnose anything as prob doesn't happen when I am there. Having read posts could it be the coolant temp sensor or would the throttle body need cleaning - don't want to look completely stupid suggesting this at garage so any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Hi and welcome aboard.

Hello, first up a diagnosis is impossible without some details, 07 Fabia is a start but many engines to choose from there.

thanks for reply - car is a fabia 1 htp 70 1198 cc - will this help. seems to happen when been on a long journey and stuck in traffic but on tuesday was sat in hot sun all day and then was a real problem from the moment it was started - dropping low to almost stalling and then revving back up again. Hope you can help as a little knowledge will really help when trying to deal with the garage. Thanks very much
