oil seeping

Featured Replies

Any ideas if this is normal, had my car remapped about 1000 miles ago and have noticed oil or black residue seeping out of a hole in what I believe is the egr valve. Its the bit at the back with the long intercooler pipe entering after the 90 degree bend.

Thanks in advance for the help.

New egr valve required

Common fault

i fitted an oil catch tank and it stopped so could be an option for you :)

Mine wept for months, had the car logged and come back as no faults, but changed it anyway as it was making a right mess in my engine bay.

Easy job to change but there's one fiddly bolt underneath the egr.

Done mine last week.

Excellent, thanks for the replys. Had the car log read and there are no faults, from your replys has help me search example pictures on here which are about 100 times worse than mine, if I keep an eye on it how long can I expect it to be ok, and will it have a depremental affect on any other parts?
