Been a member on here a while and recently got the membership so thought I would start my own thread.

My first skoda was this

Loved that little car, so nippy and great on fuel, but my sons buggy didn't fit in without removing the parcel shelf so we decided to get something bigger. Must say I have the skoda bug and already planning the next one when the Octavia gets old.

and thinking of removing the badge. I think it looks cleaner

Have had the Octavia since January and have done about 6000 miles averaging a respectable 51mpg. I wasn't planning on doing anything to this car as I want to keep the running costs low, but good intentions don't always stay! I wanted an ipod and BT connection so grabbed my Dad's old Parrot kit and purchased a connect 2 kit from Wardy. Here is a shot with the dash in pieces

I also thought while it was apart I would wire a cigarette extension for the sat-nav into the glove box making a very small groove behind the airbag switch so when I put it back to standard no marks will show. Also the sat-nav holder clips under the vent so it can be put away and also swaps with my iphone holder.

The one mod you can't see is the Shark remap. I was thinking of putting the sticker on, but haven't had a chance to play around with where best it would go

Plans for the future is to paint the calipers green as I have loads left over from the Fabia

Only problem with the Parrot kit is that I am still not sure how best to attach it to the dash. Velcro was ok until the boy pulled it off
