i have had major problems with my dpf filter only use car on short journeys its been back to dealers they tell me its a motorway only car theve forced regen twice but light keeps coming on ive been taking it for a blast out on m62 once a week is this sufficient only sometomes glow plug light comes on ecu comes car goes in limp mode can anyone help please its driving me mad thanks smiccles apart from that i love the power of my vrs when you open her up

Really the DPF is a nightmare the only way you can get around it is really to drive on the motorway everyday so it can burn off all the rubbish or remove it! Such a pain!! :(

I've just had the same problem with my VRS over the last 6 months the DPF light has been coming on every couple of weeks but have always managed to clear it but whilst on holiday in Devon it failed again. After limping into main dealer it was the dpf sensor which had failed new sensor fitted at a cost of £132.00 and has been fine ever since until a different fault today which is another story.
