Yes indeed I have, it's an awesome bit of kit, but I never knew it was capable of those speeds! :D

186mph? Mother of God

The KO4'd Octavia's are good for a 170mph gps, not bad for an OEM turbo.

Bonkers Red Devil strikes again. Didn't know it had hit that speed either down there emoticon-0103-cool.gif

Yeah, remember seeing high 160s for others before, so 170-odd sounds realistic (GPS).... given enough room.

Who or what is Red Devil, I think I need to know more!

@ Wardy, nice post count!

Dave is it me or is peak torque at 4800rpm just not right? You should be peaking at around 3500rpm normally, something is cutting torque at low revs I think. If that were to peak like other ko4 cars, then basing it off your 4900rpm value id imagine the normal peak/hump of torque would easily be around 330lbft

It's a fair point Sy and one which I considered myself. I ended up telling myself that it was OK because it was a relatively flat torque curve without being 'peaky' anywhere. I had to tweak the Revo settings to a timing of 5 as I was getting timing pull (although 5 is not uncommon in K04s, I see) and up the fuelling to 6 - not sure how that may have affected things but I am getting more torque than when on B7T6F7.

Did you see the link I posted earlier: Linky

What revo settings are you running now then?

7-5-6?

8-5-6 at the moment Harry

Sy - remember the first posting by JKM of a K04 conversion? Again, similarish shaped curve: Linky

I take your point, the torque is at its max at 3500 and carries on through the rev range

Bloody hell Pagey. Suppose you're relatively new around here, compared with some :D

And it's even nicer now ;)

Will fire some related links across to you.

Oh I get it, stick it to the new boy! :p

I did a search on the user new mentined in a previous post without luck - wrong user name - but have now found a few threads. At least I know where Kimjong Il's WMD is...... :o:thumbup:

No it was Shifty, Harry now has his exhaust and back bumper.

Still makes me chuckle remembering the sight of the Skoda factory workers looking confused as a twin exit exhausted Octavia VRS driving round the Skoda Factory, you could see them thinking to themselves " we don't build them like that!"

Mine would fair a bit better against the Red Devil than Shifty's car did, that was only a measly stage 1...

Oi, there's nought wrong with stage 1. :moon:

Been waiting to hear your news Harry

Sounds like you are a very happy boy

Cant wait to see it in the metal. I will send you a PM.
