CR170 DPF Delete Pipe

Featured Replies

Ben,

I have been talking to a couple of companies about a DPF Delete pipe for the CR170, no one seems to have one available yet but there are several in development.

I want to go down this route but I, like many others don't want to rip out the internals of a perfectly good DPF then find this useless U-turn goverment implement changes which effectively make it illegal to remove emission equipment.

Is this something that you will have available in the forseeable future?

Ben, anything on this?

Sorry didnt see this.

It isn't something we're looking to develop for ourselves, as we believe the method of cutting the existing DPF and removing the internals is the way to go. Having a shiny stainless steel pipe is going to make it obvious that it's there, having a normal DPF with no internals won't make it quite so obvious

It's already against regulations in the rest of the EU, and their method is the same as ours, hence we believe its the way to go.

Of course if you wanted to supply a pipe then we would be happy to fit it.

Ben, can you do the DPF gut and remove to our Superb - its a 2009 TDI 170 with the DSG box?

Other half is getting to the point where its being considered for getting rid of as its more or less permanently in limp home mode. Been remapped and has a custom exhaust on it.

Hi Ross

Yes we can, no problem at all. Give us a call on 01623 332233 and we'll get you booked in. We'll need the car for the day but you'll be ready to leave around 17:30

I assume this procedure is a lot more complicated than days of old when you simply smashed the cat from inside with the end of a crowbar and floored the throttle to blow the bits out? :giggle:

Haha! Physically it's almost the same, but unfortunately there's a fair bit more to it on the software side!
