i just joined this forum and i hope it will be useful..well, i wanna buy a roof box for my skoda tour but im confused about the roof bars and the box.i dont know if they are universal , i mean if they dont have special mesures so i can use them for another car because im thinking to buy another car model next year so i want to know if i can use the same roof bars and the box.

if Tour = estate, then it will probably already have some roof rails, so you would just need some bars and clamp. I went for aero bars and a foot clamp pack from. It seems the stock has changed a bit, but if you have the rails running front to back, then the Thule Rapid System 757 kit would work.

The bars generally are available in a number of lengths, so I guess the longest bars you get the more potential they have for use on future cars (as long as they aren't massively wide).

The roof box should just clamp onto the bars. If your only getting the bars for a roof box then aero bars might be a bit of an overkill.
