Hey guys and gals, i was hoping to find out a bit of info regarding my 02 plate Skoda Octavia Elegance, i had a small prang while pulling away from traffic lights, upon inspection my bonnet seems to be raised at the front end, however having tried to open it using both the internal and external bonnet release catches i have been unsuccessful. Can anyone advise on a way to open it without incurring expensive charges from a dealer etc. It is quite important that i get it done soon as my oil light is now glowing orange. :-( Any help/advice would be most welcome and much appreciated.

Hopefully someone will be along to help in this forum as its for the mark 1 octavia (I did wonder why you copied into the octavia 2 forum when yours is an 02 plate :p)

Try getting someone to push it down or sit on in the middle it and pull the bonnet release
