Trip computer permanently on

Featured Replies

After much huffing and puffing (mainly around getting the wires behind the stereo) have finally installed the Parrot MKi9200 kit to the Symphony stereo in my MK1 Fabia VRS

Now everything is working fine, kit/stereo only come on when I turn on the ignition, but have notice the trip computer/mileometer displays are permanently on (tho the fuel/temp gauges tuen off) when the ignition is switched off and keys removed

Any ideas?

Or do they stay on all the time and I've just not noticed before?

When you say permanently on, have you watched for several minutes after turning off and removing the key. On my vehicle the trip still registers for sveral minutes not actually timed it, this has been the same on my last three Superbs so I assume it is normal.

Seems to be permanent, tho switches back to time display when turn ignition off

The LCD display (mileage, trip) is always on, I guess you have never noticed before.
