Curses iPhoto11

Featured Replies

Just discovered, by virtue of some empty facebook albums, that I am missing I dont know how many photos from iphoto on my Mac. I know of at least one whole event that seems to have vanished and some photos are missing from some of the other events.

Whats more frustrating is that my time machine backup volume got corrupted and I had to recreate it 4 days ago, and guess what the photos were missing at the time I created the new one and as I no longer have access to the old one easy recovery is proving difficult.

Luckily I have a copy of the missing pictures on my windows machine, but its the hassle of working out whats missing and whats not.

Seems a common problem with iPhoto11 as well, I wonder how many are actually missing.

What current version are you using? Have you upgraded this by any chance?

You checked to see if this is a permissions issue? Could this be a corrupt library? - I would suggest you try to rebuild the iPhote library (Hold down Command and Option keys while you launch iPhoto). This should allow you to repair the permissions on the library also.

its iPhoto 11, and has been for quiet sometime. Not really sure whats happened. I did a library rebuild and also run a find orphaned photos but that did not add any new ones to the library. In the end I have reimported the missing folders and run Duplicate Annihilator (after buying it) across the whole library to remove the ones it added again.
