One year on.....

Featured Replies

We've had our Yeti just over a year and I thought I would give you all a bit of a review on the year so far....

The car is superb. After spending 27k miles behind the wheel in twelve months it just keeps getting better. The handling is fantastic - firm yet supple, great handling round the country roads yet refined and quiet on the motorway and great round town. Its suspension easily eats up potholes (of which we have many around here!) and during the winter it performed brilliantly on snow and ice - we certainly noticed the electronic wizardry kicking in!

In terms of practicality I don't think i've owned a car that can handle whatever you want to do with it (maybe doesn't mean too much as my last car was a mini!) but its been able to eat up 25sqm of oak floor, workstations, filing cabinets and other bits and bobs that we've asked of it.

So far we've had twelve months of relatively trouble free motoring. One service at 18k (approx £200) and a new set of tyres last week at 27k (£550 for all four including fitting and balancing). Average of 45mpg doing an equal mix of town, country and motorway driving. The only problem we have had was stone chipping on the flared arches on the rear doors. Skoda sprayed and fitted the foils under warranty but the foil now has lots of little white marks where they have been subject to stone chips. The bottom half of both doors on both sides also have lots of little white marks from stone chips too and with the car being black it shows up quite badly.

Would I recommend a Yeti to anyone. Absolutely. The best car I've ever owned.

Good to hear you are still happy with the Yeti. Have had ours only a few weeks but already suspect we will feel the same after a year.

Hi Yattus,

thanks for your interesting report, surprised they didn't respray the doors before fitting the foils, as this I understand has been the experience of others who have had this work done under warranty. Might also be worth investigating if the other stone damage falls under the paint warranty, again I believe someone else has put in a claim for excessive paint damage to the lower doors. If the dealer won't help could raise it with SUK :wonder:

Regards,

TP
