skoda age comfirmation?

Featured Replies

hello...

im new to the forum although not to skoda as i have previously owned a couple of rapid coupes, felicia and octavias

i wonder if anyone can help with this one? my new recentley imported toy is a skoda and although it was registered as a 1978 i believe it to be a 1972, hence would like to register it here as such for obvious historic vehicle tax reasons...normally when i import vw's i request a heritage letter from vw group however they cannot supply this for my new ride as it is built pre vw group takeover :S they have advised me to contact skoda in czech, hence anyone know how i might do so???

thanks ;)

Go on the main owners club forum, contact Skudman and speak to him. He has provided people with letters quite a few times recently.

...or write to this address

[email protected]

and mark it for the attention of Lukaš Nachtmann, Archiv.

thanks...will look into both of these option...will get some pics up at some point :)

I've just texted Dave McKinney of SKoda Owners Club GB asking him to comment on this thread. I seem to recall that SOCGB are recognised by DVLA as the appropriate dating body in the UK.

 I've already replied to his email suggesting that John Shelley may be able to help. The best way to date a historic Skoda through the Club [and make it official with the DVLA] is to email Mark Fisher [Club Secretary]...he is da man and will no doubt suggest joining the Club like I did!
