Planning to buy a OBD tool (Standalone or with PC SW).

My budget is bellow 100 EURO.

I have Fabia 2005 model.

Please suggest some tool (HW + SW) to use.

Is standalone (Ex. U480) better or with PC software (OBD+USB+SW) better?

I can recomend VCDS Lite as a free download from Rosss Tech, a good quality interface cable for £20 from Gendan, and with these and a laptop you can cover all the DTC codes on all the modules on the Fabia plus get a lot of real time information.

Hi,

I wouldn't waste my time looking for anything but vcds lite, cables are available on e bay but your better off getting one from a reputable supplier.

The chinese obd tools have very limited use and a sreen that is to small to use.
