BRAKING PROBLEM

Featured Replies

HI ALL, HAVING PROBLEMS WITH MY 04 FABIA VRS THERE IS A VIBRATION FEELING COMING THROUGH THE BRAKE PEDAL, I HAVE NO LIGHTS ON THE DASH, I TOOK IT TO A LOCAL SKODA DEALER, AND HE THINKS IT COULD BE THE ABS PUMP / WIRING AT FAULT, WHICH WILL COST AROUND £800 TO REPAIR,

ANY HELP GUYS

Couple of pointers first..

1. try posting this in the Fabia MKI section

2. Please turn off the caps lock as on this forum it looks like you're SHOUTING!!!! :giggle:

Re the ABS unit......a vibration through the pedal could also be a warped disc or a patch of pad material/residue on the disc.......does the pedal "pulse" eg as if someone is hitting the sole of your foot very hard!!! Because it makes a big pulse and can be a bit scary if you're not expecting it!!

Also the electronic black box can be removed from the ABS hydralic block and sent off the these people and tested...or you can remove the whole unit and sent it off to them...but then you have to refill and rebleed the brake fluid. B)

Try removing the fuse to the abs. If it's still there then it will be mechanical. Warped discs are most likely.
