THB Bury CC9060 to Symphony wiring.

Featured Replies

This should be a piece of cake, but there's something not right....

Mute 2 is used for the mute from the bury, thats fine and the stereo is showing "Phone" and the previous audio source stopped.

The 1/8" jack from the bury has the audio coming out of it (checked with headphones), and I've used the green and orange (tel + and tel -) from the bury to pin 7 and 12 as per http://www.fabia-vrs.com/technical-info/mobile-phone-car-kit-integration/

The odd thing is that according to the above fabia-vrs page is:

To enable sound through the car speakers you must first enable the telephone audio input and telemute functions of the Symphony Head unit. To do this, with the radio switched on press and hold the TP button to enter the main menu. Using the left and right buttons (< or >) select the phone option and then rotate the volume control to enable it. Again, using the left and right buttons select the phone in option and enable it.

Which suggests there is a "phone" option, and a "phone in" option. On mine "phone in" is an option under "phone", there isn't another "phone" apart from the phone initial volume. Perhaps there's different revisions of Symphony?

Either way, I've tried "phone in" and "phone on" in the "phone" menu, neither gives phone audio. I'm guessing it should be "phone in" as I'd expect that to take external audio, whilst "phone on" just to enable remote mute.

So, the only thing I can think of, is that pin 7 and 12 aren't correct. The fabia-vrs page is looking at the rear of the stereo, but can anybody confirm that their numbering is correct? Or are the inputs on a Symphony known to die frequently?

The output from the bury is line level, rather than speaker, is the Symphony phone in, line level or speaker? I can set the bury back to external audio then use its speaker level inputs (requiring the chopping of a few wires) if that's what the Symphony needs.

Any help appreciated.
