I have a 2001 octavia with a 1.6L engine. I recently noticed a large power steering fluid leak at the rack and pinion. The dealer here doesn't have the replacement part and it's kind of difficult for me to locate it either. So, do you guys think the 2001 VW Jetta uses the same one as the Octavia ? Please, help me resolve this issue. Any suggestions will be welcomed.

Golf, Jetta(Bora over here), Seat Leon or Toledo all fit, or with a bit of work TT/S3/R32/LCR slightly quicker rack can be made to fit, depends what models VAG sell over there. HTH.

If replacing like for like, think most of the racks start with the part number 1J0.
