I'm new to Skodas, but not car forums.

I do have a quick question though, i've ordered the 2.0 160bhp Diesel, is the 2.0 170bhp Diesel in the VRS the same one, but a few tweeks?

Ah slight misprint there, I meant I ordered 2.0 TDi CR 140ps DPF engine, and is it just a matter of tuning to get to the vRS 2.0 TDi CR 170ps DPF?

Hi all. New to the Octy 2 scene. Finally said goodbye to my beloved 1.8T 4x4 Estate (Custom Code 1, Forge DV and hoses, GC filter, 23mm FARB, Powerflex bushes and dog bone, H&R springs, Koni dampers, LW fly and single plate clutch, Haldex performance box, 312mm VAG front brakes, Tarox discs and DS2500 pads, Powerflo cat back, sump guard ) after 183,600 miles. I've capitulated to my wife' s persistent argument that it was a money pit and uneconomical to run (admittedly I only got 24 mpg on my daily 45 miles). My journey is hilly, twisty, and often icy and snowy in winter. I feel somewhat bereaved after having the car from a new 51 plate. Sob. Am picking up a 2010 2.0 TDI Scout on Saturday. Felt OK for torque and was told in no uncertain terms to get something sensible (she caught me arranging to test drive a Forester 2.5 XT, after finding out just how unresponsive the 2 litre one was. Whilst I plan to run the Scout as standard initially (until nobody's looking) it will feel like I've sold my soul driving a standard car, and I'll have to start scheming and planning. What have you good people done with your Scouts, and what routes to future driving smugness do you recommend please?
