7 digit post codes + climatronic questions

Featured Replies

I have just fitted a Columbus Sat Nav unit to my vRS. Its running what I was told is one of the latest HW and SW versions (H42 and 3804) and has v7.1 maps installed (7388). However, I only have 4 digit post code entry. Could someone more knowledgable on here tell me why I can't get 7 digit post code entry and speed cameras as I thought with the v7.1 maps installed I should have both.

Also, could someone let me know if it is possible to code the RNS510 to display the climatronic climate control fitted to my wk18 mk2 vRS. I have seen some people with Superbs have this function and lots of posts about it on many of the VW forums but can't find any info if its possible with the fabia climatronic unit.

Many Thanks

Andy

Speed cameras are not included in the maps at all. For postcode, don't forget to press space after entering the first part of the code (eg. DT11 7HH), if you cannot do this then either the maps or older than you have been told, or the firmware is older.

You can load the speed cameras on, there is a good guide on the vwnavi forum, all you need is an SD card to save them on, Poinspect0r, and a data file in the appropriate format. Even when loaded, the columbus does not support warn when near POI, so you will get no warnings only a visual indication.

You'll need to get the car coded correctly, and assuming it has the latest climatronic controller then it should display the data on screen.

Thanks for the reply

Does anyone on here have a RNS510 with this SW and Map (SW 3804, Map 7388) configuration that can confirm whether they get 7 digit post code entry or not please.

Hi Guys,

Does anyone know the VCDS coding required to display the climatronic on a Columbus (RNS510)?

Cheers

Andy
