Service Book Replacement

Featured Replies

Hi all

New here, so hello to everyone, been a long time lurker though!

Anyway, have in the last 6 weeks bought an Octavia VRS 2.0t from a dealer, it was registered in 2010 and had done 11000 when I purchased it.

The delaer was unable to supply me with the service manual as they have "lost" the docs package that should be with the car. I have finally been given this, and in the front of the service book it says "Duplicat" or similar (Car not here at the minute).

My question is, will this be an issue once I try to sell the car? Quite annoyed about the whole thing as the dealer took ages to provide me with it.

The car is on a long term service schedule and as such there are no stamps in the book - so that probably makes things easier.

But still, it may look like i am trying to hide something if I provide a duplicate service book to any potential buyer.

Thanks

Garry
